KOKOMO, Ind. - Inventrek Technology Park receives $60,000 from the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership. The funds will be used to support further development of the technology park and pursue the creation of a power electronics center. Inventrek will look for ways to bring resources together to strengthen the possibilities for electronics innovations and how it might relate to energy issues.

The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership is an alliance of Indiana business and research university leaders coming together to foster long-term prosperity for the region. CICP is dedicated to the proposition that the public, private and academic sectors must plan and invest strategically to build a competitive, 21st century economy in Central Indiana.

"CICP is pleased to make this grant available to the Inventrek Technology Park, said Lee Lewellen, Vice President of the CICP. “Kokomo has an extensive history of developing new technologies for the marketplace, specifically in the electronics industry. Inventrek provides another avenue for Kokomo’s newest entrepreneurs to develop their ideas into economically beneficial businesses for themselves, Howard County, and Indiana.”
